Vincenzo Biondo
 2004-2011
After graduating in 2001 in Piano and in 2004 in Music Didactics at the "Conservatorio V. Bellini" in Palermo, he then devoted himself to the study of singing with various teachers.
In 2003, he deepened his interest in electronic music obtaining the certificate of "Sound Engineer" (specialized in digital environments) at the “Associazione Culturale Alibi Club” in Palermo.
He then attended several singing master classes with Mary Setrakian.
His first singing experience was in 2000 with the "Enarmonichementi" Choir conducted by Maestro Alessandro Polito, a project of “Gli Armonici” Cultural Association, where he was for 2 years leader of the Tenor Section.
In 2004, together with DJ Mario Caminita and sound engineer Luca Rinaudo he formed "Track 7": an Electro-Pop music project with the aim of producing an album which is still unreleased; that same year he started his collaboration with Massimo Sigillò Massara, with whom he founded the "SeiOttavi” vocal group. One year later, in 2005, he took part at the Musical “Boccadoro The Traveller”, written by Massimo Sigillò Massara, both as pianist and assistant conductor under the direction of Fabrizio Angelini, which was held at the “Teatro di Verdura” in Palermo and at the Ancient Greek Theatre of Segesta, Trapani.
In 2006 he took part, as pianist, arranger for the choral parts, assistant musical director and vocalist with "SeiOttavi", to the first national performance of the Musical "Corleone", inspired by the history of Filippo Latino with text by Nonuccio Anselmo and music by Massimo Sigillò Massara.
That same year he conducted the LUMSA University choir in Palermo; he then joined the early renaissance music choir “Elaia", conducted by Maestro Alessandro Valenza as assistant conductor and tenor; he then worked as pianist and composer of original music on several plays for "La Compagnia Del Tratto", a theatre company.
In the swing vocal group “SeiOttavi” he has the role of singer, conductor and arranger: with “SeiOttavi” he participated in 2007 to the "SOLEVOCI" International Competition held in Varese, winning the first prize for best vocal group, two other special awards for best song and best artistic program presented, and the attendance of a one-week vocal workshop in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
That same year he performed with “SeiOttavi” in the television show “Matineè” on RAI 2.
In 2008 the group participated to the Italian edition of X-Factor, which was broadcasted on RAI-2, remaining in contest for 9 prime-time shows out of 11.
That same year he held several concerts with “SeiOttavi” throughout Italy (Varese, Milan, Rimini, Bellaria, Imperia, Polistena, Palermo, Messina, Catania, etc.).
In July of that year he participated with “SeiOttavi” to the "Vokal Total" contest in Graz (Austria) where they were awarded with the “Golden Diploma".
Several partecipations to radio shows in Italy followed, including: “Viva Radio 2” (Rai Radio 2), “Notturno Italiano” (Radio Rai International), “Scatole Cinesi” (Rai Radio 2).
In 2009 he participated with “SeiOttavi” to the “X Festival Della Canzone Siciliana” with the song "Vucciria”.
That same year he composed all the arrangements for the new show by “SeiOttavi”, "Cinematica" which was performed in Naples, Palermo and Varese.
He has supervised the recording, editing and mixing of the CD named after the “Cinematica” show (which has been released in April 2010), with the collaboration of sound engineer Carlo Gargano.
December 6, 2009 he sung as a tenor in the choir of the final and main event of the "52^ Settimana Di Musica Sacra” held at the Cathedral of Monreale, Palermo: "Mons Regalis – L’Opera del Duomo", written by Lucina Lanzara and Salvino Leone, orchestrated by Massimo Sigillò Massara and under the direction of Alessandro Valenza.
He has lately written and produced the new “SeiOttavi” song "Ventu d'Orienti" with which they are currently participating to the 2010 “XI Festival Della Canzone Siciliana”.
He is nowadays a piano teacher and pianist at the “VokalMusik Academy” in Palermo.
